Migration / Webflow → Astro
Outgrown Webflow? Move to Astro and stop paying to be limited.
We migrate Webflow sites to Astro when you've hit the ceiling: CMS item limits, locked-in hosting, no real version control, rising per-site fees. You get an owned codebase and a faster site.

Why move
The case for leaving Webflow
Webflow is a genuinely good tool for launching a site quickly, and many companies rightly start there. The friction comes later: CMS collections cap out, hosting is locked to Webflow's plans, there's no meaningful version control or code review, and the per-site cost climbs as you add locales, staging, and traffic.
For a team that has outgrown the visual builder and wants engineering practices, git, code review, a real component system, a CMS without item ceilings, Astro is the natural destination. The design carries over; the constraints don't.
Migrating gives you an owned codebase, a headless CMS with room to grow, deployment on infrastructure you choose, and typically a faster site, since hand-built Astro output is leaner than Webflow's generated markup and scripts.
As always, we preserve URLs and rankings through the move: the goal is to remove the ceiling, not to start over.
What teams worry about
Every fear about migrating: answered
"We'll lose our design"
We rebuild the design faithfully as a proper component system: same look, cleaner and faster underneath.
"Our rankings will drop"
URLs are preserved or 301-mapped and metadata carried over, so search continuity holds.
"Our team can't edit code"
Content moves to a headless CMS they edit without code: the visual comfort of Webflow's editor, without its limits.
"Migrating sounds slow"
Webflow sites are usually well-structured, which makes them among the faster migrations we do.
The process
Zero-downtime, nothing dropped
Export & audit
We inventory Webflow pages, CMS collections, and URLs, and capture the design as the source of truth.
Rebuild as a system
The design becomes a reusable Astro component library, with content modelled in a headless CMS.
Migrate content
CMS items move across and are verified, with redirects for any changed URLs.
Cutover
DNS switches to the new site; the Webflow site stays live as fallback until we confirm the transition.
FAQ
Webflow → Astro, questions we get asked
When does it make sense to move off Webflow? +
When you've hit Webflow's ceilings: CMS collection or item limits, no real version control or code review, hosting locked to Webflow's plans, or per-site costs that climb with locales and traffic. If you want engineering practices and room to grow rather than a visual builder, migrating to Astro removes those constraints while keeping your design.
Will we keep our Webflow design after migrating? +
Yes. We rebuild the design faithfully as a proper Astro component system: the site looks the same, but the markup and scripts underneath are hand-built and leaner, so it's typically faster than the Webflow original.
Does moving from Webflow to Astro affect SEO? +
Handled properly, no. We preserve or 301-redirect every URL, carry across titles, metadata, and structured data, and match content structure. Because Astro output is usually lighter than Webflow's, Core Web Vitals often improve, which supports rankings.
Can our team still edit content without touching code? +
Yes. Content moves into a headless CMS with a visual editing experience comparable to Webflow's, minus the item limits. Your team edits pages and collections without code, and we train them before handover.
